Little Bighorn Battlefield National Monument, Montana

On our way to Rapid City, South Dakota, we stopped off at Little Bighorn Battlefield National Monument. This area memorializes the U.S. Army's 7th Cavalry, including Lt. Col. George Custer, and the Sioux and Cheyenne Indians who fought against the army who were trying to preserve their way of life in a last armed effort. It was a touching memorial that makes you think about both sides in the conflict.
