Lassen Volcanic National Park

Even though we got an early start from Tahoe, the drive was just to long going to Oregon, so we had a short time to spend in Lassen Volcanic National Park. What we did get to see, was pretty darn cool. There are four kinds of volcanoes in the world, and all four are found in this National Park. We got to see the evidence that the volcanoes here are still alive, that is they are currently dormant. Though the volcanoes are dormant, the land is very active. We saw boiling and bubbling mud and lots of steam coming from vents in the ground. It was also very very stinky, lots of sulfur. I would love to go back to Lassen Volcanic National Park some day.
